Behavioral Health professionals receive reimbursement through private medical insurance and Medicaid coverage.  Unfortunately, Medicaid coverage for pregnant women ends at eight (8) weeks post-partum, which is the usual time period for symptoms of post-partum depression to manifest. Beyond the 8 weeks post-partum period, women with Medicaid coverage, have to re-qualify for medical insurance to receive continued treatment for conditions stemming from the pregnancy.
