Main Focus:

 

  1. Designed to increase the capacity of prenatal and primary health care providers throughout Illinois to diagnose and treat depression and anxiety disorders during pregnancy and postpartum. 
  2. Provides a of useful information and resources for providers such as; an antidepressant medication chart, Mental Health Consultation Line, education and training opportunities for providers, screening tools in various languages, how to bill for screening, powerpoint presentations, publications, links and public awareness posters. 
  3. Other Projects: 1) Stepped Care Model - helps primary healthcare providers screen, assess, and treat perinatal mental health disorders. 2) MotherCare Kit - a self-help kit addressing mental health needs of pregnant and postpartum women, 3) Health Behaviors in Women - project addressing eating disorders in pregnant and postpartum women
