TennCare

TennCare is Tennessee's Medicaid System. Within the Disease Management section of the contracts between TennCare and the Managed Care Organizations (MCOs), there is a requirement that the MCOs have clinical practice guidelines which include conducting mental health and substance abuse screening. Also, as a part of the MCOs Maternity Disease Management Programs, a postpartum screening is conducted.
